✳READ. THINK. MAKE IT YOURS.
A PDF reader with room for your thoughts.
Read a book or paper, highlight useful parts and keep notes beside the page.
Start reading without an account
- Open PDF Studio and choose a PDF from your device.
- Scroll continuously, jump to a page, or switch to single-page or book view.
- Adjust zoom and choose Paper, Warm or Night to suit your reading.
The local reader supports files up to 50 MiB and 300 pages. Password-protected PDFs need an unlocked copy. Opening a local PDF while signed out does not upload it.
Highlight, draw, bookmark and add notes
Use four highlight colours, draw with the pen, erase marks and undo or redo changes. Write notes for each page and bookmark places you want to revisit. Search works when the PDF contains readable text; scanned pages do not become searchable through OCR.
Keep a copy before leaving
Download an annotated PDF with a notes appendix, or export a lightweight JSON notes backup. Keep that backup with the exact original PDF: importing checks the file fingerprint so notes are not placed on the wrong document. Editing or exporting a signed PDF can invalidate its signature; keep the signed original.
Optional saving to your account
When cloud saving is available, signing in lets you explicitly save a reading to your profile. Local PDFs use a compressed copy in private storage; notes, marks and reading position are stored separately. Academy PDFs reuse their existing file rather than duplicating it.
Cloud saving may be disabled during launch. Unsaved temporary copies expire after 24 hours; cleanup is retried after failures. Always keep your own copy of important work.
Compression has trade-offs
Preserve mode keeps text and quality where possible, but cannot promise a smaller file. Compact mode turns pages into images: it can reduce scanned-file size, but may soften details and remove searchable text, links or forms. Your original file on your device is untouched.
